Tandem SI interacts with
various companies to provide specialized services when required. In dealing
with our partners, communications is an area where we usually have seen
breakdowns, which can cause major setbacks and delays for any project. To help
avoid this potential problem, we developed an application that we use to
specifically communicate with our cabling providers. It turned out to be so
useful to us, we decided to generalize it a bit and offer it to other
professionals as a product.
PreWire is a Windows® based application that
manages cabling projects from start to finish. It utilizes a database that
stores information on cables, hardware, vendors and other data. Using this
information, you can create a cabling project that details every required
cable, down to the foot! By simply defining points of termination, you can drag
and drop cables between them, letting the application manage all of the costing
issues. PreWire even has the ability to define termination and mounting
instructions for the various cables. Once created, various project reports can
be generated to include sorted pull sheets, hardware requirements, vendor
lists, and Word® template proposals. The end
result is a clean, concise, and accurate cabling project that can be handed to
anyone to work from.
The interface is extremely easy to use and the learning curve is amazingly
quick. PreWire takes the guess work out of cabling estimates and provides the
confidence that the job can be done correctly from design to installation. This
software can easily save you the aggravation of having to go back into a job to
repull incorrect or forgotten cables. Give PreWire a try and you'll realize
