| What are the proper settings for connecting a modem to
the AMX processor? |
To communicate with AMX via a modem, you will need a modem and
a modem cable. The cable plugs into modem (25 Pin) and the program port of the
AMX processor (9 Pin). The AMX program port should have communication
parameters set up for 9600:8:N:1.
You will need a modem cable configured as shown.
Depending on the modem you use, you will need to configure the modem to have
certain attributes selected. The following details the US Robotics 33.6
Sportster, which is the default modem used by Tandem SI.
